Saturday Night Live Tonight The Sketches 12 Seasons You Won't Want to Miss

As any Saturday Night Live fan knows, the first few minutes of the show are often the best. With a cold open that spoofs everything from Game of Thrones to Craigslist, last night's episode was no exception. In what has become one of SNL's most memorable moments in recent years, Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon reprised their roles as Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in what seemed like it could be the election-night showdown we never saw. As they debated on stage, they got into heated exchanges, with Trump calling Hillary such a nasty woman. McKinnon even donned an orange wig at one point in an attempt to portray Mr. Trump's trademark hairstyle.

Celebrity guest in sketch

Tonight on SNL, Sterling K. Brown will be making his debut as the host and Leslie Jones will be back for her first appearance since the end of last season.

Sterling K. Brown has been around for a while now, having played Christopher Darden in The People v. O.J. Simpson and Randall Pearson on This Is Us.

But it's going to be pretty exciting to see him make his debut as SNL host this week.

Leslie Jones is also set to return on tonight's show after being absent from Saturday Night Live for a long time due to an injury she suffered during filming back in 2017.

Musical performance

Tonight's episode of Saturday Night Live has a lot in store for us. With hosts Emma Stone and Bill Hader, musical guest Chance the Rapper, and the return of Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump, it's sure to be a great show.

There will also be a lot of sketches on tonight's show that you won't want to miss! Watch as Kenan Thompson takes on Steve Harvey as he teaches how not to talk about his daughter on Family Feud! Watch Alec Baldwin get arrested again as Donald Trump Jr., only this time he gets deported back home where Jared Kushner is waiting for him with an Oval Office desk made out of Legos. And finally, see what happens when Jay Pharoah meets up with Stephen A. Smith backstage at First Take.

Sketch featuring cast member

This week's Saturday Night Live brought us sketches that were not only hilarious, but also relevant and important. Alec Baldwin returned as President Trump in the cold open and was soon joined by reporters played by Cecily Strong and Kate McKinnon. Strong joked about how she had been trying to get a quote from Trump all day before he finally answered her call just as the show went on air. McKinnon then said she had some breaking news for Baldwin which was that his wife Melania didn't want him doing the sketch anymore because she thinks it's too mean. This back-and-forth banter with Baldwin and McKinnon made for a great opening.

Sketch written by guest writer

The sketch opens on a man, wearing a hat and suit, who is talking to the camera. Hello, this is John Swinton of Swinton Insurance, he says. There are many people in this country who are still uninsured. He takes his hat off and sets it down on the desk next to him. I know because I see them all day long, coming in here with one thing or another. A woman walks up behind him carrying a briefcase. She has short hair and glasses. She sets her briefcase down next to his hat. Hi, she says cheerfully, waving at the camera. He turns around and looks at her before turning back around to face the camera again.

The goodbyes

Jon Hamm hosted Saturday night's show, which began with the sketch where he and Cecily Strong played a married couple. These two have been cast members for about six years and both of them said goodbye this past season. It was great to see them on stage together one last time.

The next sketch was a parody of The Wiz, with Kenan Thompson as Dorothy and Chris Redd as Scarecrow. When the Tin Man said, I don't know if I can make it, Kenan responded, That's OK because I'm not feeling so hot either. It went on from there and everyone got in on the joke that these characters who are supposed to be so happy feel like they're dying inside.
